kybun Opinions

Customer from Zurich, Switzerland

I had pain in my hips and kidneys. So I considered what I could do about it. I won’t go to the doctor, as he only prescribes me drugs. Then, it occurred to me that I already have shoes like these. I tried them out and within three days, the pain was gone. It really is true.

Wherever I’m going, I enjoy walking in them because they are so comfy. You can walk on stony ground and up and down stairs without a problem.

I actually discovered the kyBoot completely by chance. I tried on a pair and found that I could actually walk very well in them. Now it is simply my shoe. I can really step on each heel and roll over my foot to the toes. The shoe helps me get a firmer footing and compensates for the movements within my stump. It simply feels great to walk and the main advantage by far is that I don’t stumble anymore. This was always a problem I experienced when I was wearing other shoes.  I would often trip over my toes and stumble when walking on uneven streets.

I would never have thought that a pair of shoes could have this effect. But they really do, and I would recommend them to anybody, especially older people who have difficulty walking. Buy yourself a pair.

These shoes are a must for anyone who wants to be very active. I don’t know how I managed without them. Going back to wearing normal shoes would be a huge loss.

The shoes are relatively expensive, but they are absolutely worth the money. Considering the quality of the shoes and their ability to help you walk, they are absolutely worth the money.

Shoes are very important. They are an important part of the prosthesis. As I said, I could never find the right shoe for me during all the time I spent wearing the prosthesis. The kyBoot is simply the perfect shoe for me. I first learnt about the kyBoot when I got onto the bus at a different bus stop. I saw a kyBoot shop right behind me. There was an intriguing exhibition going on, where a film was being shown. I went to the shop the next day and asked if the kyBoot could also be something for people who wear prostheses. Mr Meier was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave me all the information I needed. He said he didn’t have any experience with people who wear prostheses, but that I could try on a pair of the kyBoot shoes if I wanted to. I took him up on the offer and since then, I have been impressed with the shoe each and every day.

I think it’s wonderful. It feels like I’m walking on a bed of moss. I’m very happy with these shoes.

I truly never thought they would work for me. I was always applying ointment and doing gymnastic exercises. I tried everything, but I was told I couldn’t do a lot and that was it.

It was a soft and comfortable feeling. I actually felt very comfortable from the very beginning. I tried walking around in the shoes at this shop for 15 minutes. Then I walked out onto the street right away and wore the shoes all day. I continued to walk, taking tiny steps, feeling very comfortable in the shoes. The main advantage by far is the fact that I don’t stumble anymore. I used to always get caught, either at my toes  or at my heels, which made me skid. Walking is now very pleasant and soft, even for the stump. I no longer feel the hard impact on my knee or stump. It is simply a wonderful, soothing feeling all around.

After four or five hours, you started to feel tired and things started to feel difficult. Even though there were still nearly ten more hours to go! Keeping going until the evening was absolute agony. But really it was all because of my feet.

Mrs and Mr Mpalastos from Mantoudi Evoias, Greece

Since the beginning of January 2015 I (77 years old) couldn't walk more than 50 meters because of numbness and pain in both legs. I was diagnosed "Central Stenosis" of lumbar spine. I was told by several doctors that I will need to have spinal operation. My wife Stavroula (72 years old) had a similar problem 1 year ago. She couldn’t walk more than 30 meters because of left leg pain. She was diagnosed with “Lateral Stenosis”.  She overcame her problem after intense physical therapy, acupuncture, exercise and progressive walking with kyBoot after her physiotherapist recommended it. After all her treatment she was walking 2 km without rest, thus she suggested me to try first the same approach. After 4 months of therapy I could walk close to 1 km. I hesitated to buy kyBoot even I liked a lot, as I tried them for one day. My wife tried to persuade me to buy them because as she said they are not ordinary shoes but they are a valuable equipment. I hesitated because of the cost which was almost my half pension.  Now two months after wearing these wonderful shoes I feel very satisfied for my decision to buy them. I walk with my wife every day for 75 minutes with a fast pace. We compete with each other about who is going to finish first. Our goal is to walk 10 km a day with kyBoot in a couple years, when we are going to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

At 66 years old, I have had two hip replacements, a right knee replacement, and have undergone two major back operations. My knees had always been swollen, but once I tried kyBoot, they became normal again after two days. Now I can walk for hours without limping. I feel truly alive again.

I feel much lighter and smoother when I’m walking. The shoe has changed my whole life.

Before I bought these shoes, I had to walk with a cane. I could only walk for about half an hour, no more. Since I’ve had these shoes, I can walk for over an hour at a time and I don’t need a cane anymore.

Since I got these kyBoot shoes, I know that they are the answer. They would be the last thing I would part with.

Mr. Karst from Andernach, Germany

For me, things were not going well; my shoes stopped me from doing a lot. I could not walk much in my shoes and had a lot of pain in my back, upper legs and hip. Then, I saw kyBoots in the shop and went in to find out what sort of shoes they were selling. I then got a pair to try and immediately thought “Wow.” I had never experienced shoes like them. I almost had to hold onto the counter or else I would have fallen over, as I was a little wobbly at first. However, I quite quickly realised that this is very good for my body and that it would help me to cope with my pain so that I could get on much better in the future. All I had to do then was sign my name and I got a pair of shoes to try out. I was only interested in wearing the shoes for nearly a good week at least to see how I got on with them myself. On Tuesday afternoon, I received the shoes and, on Friday morning, I wore the shoes again and have had no more pain since. I have no more pain in my hip and back. No more pain at all, it’s all gone!! I had actually planned to have surgery on my hip this year, but it now looks like I no longer need the operation. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who has problems with their bones and skeletal structure. Everyone should put aside a little bit of money when they have it if they cannot pay for them all in one go. This way, you can afford the shoes after saving up. It will do wonders for your health, that’s all I can say. I’ve experienced it myself and now bought two pairs of shoes. I saved up for them, too and have also saved even more. I buy things that I see that are good for me and my wife, and these two pairs of shoes are great for just that.

I can't recommend kyBoot shoes too highly.  I am now age 76 and have been a long distance walker and country dancer for many years. In that time I have tried so many shoes and my kyBoots are quite the best. They are so comfortable that I wear them all the time for walking, gardening, zumba dancing and housework.  They are as comfortable as the softest slippers and yet tough enough for a 10mile cross country walk. I also have a physiotherapist friend who is very impressed by the shoes shock absorbing  properties and the supportive fit which makes them ideal for ageing joints.

Heidi Sommer from Bern, Switzerland

My GP knows about it and is delighted. He thinks it’s great that I’ve found something good for me now. I went for a check-up and told him that I was wearing the most wonderful shoes and it’s true!

I can now walk without any pain. I used to always feel a pressure in the prosthesis and was actually always in pain when walking. The pain is now completely gone, and I feel wonderful wearing the prosthesis.

I can’t think of anything about these shoes that could be improved. If they were taken away from me, I would quit. They are so important. I feel happy every time I put them on and walk in them. They just work, almost of their own accord. I don’t have to exert myself when I walk in them. I don’t have to concentrate to walk five or six kilometres in them. I can walk with complete freedom. The shoes relax my whole body, which enables me to enjoy life! They are a lifeline. As you get older, you start to value this sort of thing.

At first I often felt tired and my muscles ached. One reason was no doubt that I wore the shoes all day. I'd recommend that older People should start out more slowly. A young person can wear the shoes all day without any trouble. The aching muscles are nothing compared to the pain I used to have.

If I can wear a pair of kyBoot shoes then I will. Slippers, trainers, outdoor shoes and obviously shoes for smarter occasions as well.

Eli Vaknin, Businessman, Beit Dagan, Israel

I used to be a television technician, and I developed knee problems. Any new shoes that came out… there is nothing I haven’t tried. For the first time there is something which truly solved my problem. My father who is 76 could hardly walk, and today he walks freely and enjoys the shoes. He doesn't take them off, even on the Sabath. I intend to buy the entire collection.

At first I felt unsteady. Then I tried it several times, and felt steadier and steadier, and in the end it was a relief to wear these shoes. I definitely have
less pain in my feet. Even in the morning, for example, when I used to get out of bed, I always felt a bit unsteady as my feet hurt so much. And that's all gone now; I can walk and I feel fine. Watch the video

What do you think about the shoe? Very good, very good. Did you think you would ever be able to walk so easily again? No. Recently, when I had to walk so bent over, I thought I didn't deserve to be here any more. Even though I've struggled by for 93 years. But now it's much easier to walk again? Yes, indeed.  Watch the video

They're comfortable. They're really comfortable. And I have relatively wide feet and always have a bit of trouble. But I really feel good in these shoes; I wouldn't want any others anymore.  Watch the video

It seems to me that the foot muscles work quite differently down there, there is better circulation through the veins and the blood supply is improved.  Watch the video

Its an extraordinary sensation. I looked forward to the day when something like this would be developed. That it would actually be possible to create a cushion to protect healthy feet, using good shoes, to eliminate impacts and stop that jarring shock effect. And it's a feeling that really does go through your muscles, through your tendons, through your joints into your spine and so all the way to your head. You know, my first spontaneous thought was how nice it was to experience something new at age 70. You float, you sail through the countryside with a bounce in your step; when you stop, you feel fine standing about and stopping. You feel relaxed and have coordination and balance balance that go right up to your brain and make your hike even more enjoyable.  Watch the video

Oh, they are wonderfully soft. Walking like now on these stones, you can walk up and down, but you don't slip and you don't feel the stones. I think it's a wonderful feeling.  Watch the video

"I am 74 years old and a passionate pilgrim. I first wore the kyBoot on my last 250-mile walk along the French Way. Walking was very pleasant and my knee pain was a thing of the past. I was especially surprised at how cushioned and agreeable it feels to walk on asphalt. I could feel the kyBoot strengthening the muscles in my legs and feet. I now only ever wear my sandals or my kyBoot."

I have been wearing kyBoot for several weeks and feel on cloud nine. If I could, I would even wear them at home and at night, I feel so comfortable in my kyBoot.
