DOCTOR KYBUN - A Great Exercise for Your Body & Brain
Squats are not just for athletes. You can use them as part of your regular exercise routine.
In Asia, people are so used to squatting that it is regarded as second nature. The practice is often referred to as the recovery position and there is increasing evidence to show that this is one of the simplest and most effective ways of staying healthy in body and mind.
Karl Müller the inventor of the kybun shoe witnessed this first hand when he lived in South Korea and has been making this claim ever since. You may have noticed that he regularly squats during his videos and demonstrations (if not we suggest you try his Saigon squat – part 5 of the kybun knee programme). For many of us, brought up in the Western World it is quite difficult to do at first, especially keeping the heels flat on the floor. The kybun shoe and even more so the mat make this exercise much easier and with time you will be surprised how quickly your body can readjust and adapt to this position without any discomfort.
It is also a very good way to find your body’s equilibrium and is a simple exercise which you can do anywhere and the more you do it the more you benefit.
